Trigger job on Shotgun : Rec’s pls

I recently bought a Charles Daly 101 single shot turkey gun. The gun is light and compact and should be a great gun, but the trigger pull is crazy heavy. I don’t know anything amount gunsmithing or trigger work, but I assume this is a fixable problem ? Assuming this is fixable , any recommendations on who to take it to? (I’m in South LA but get to Br, Laf, or NOLA pretty regularly) .
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Any reputable gunsmith can lighten the trigger pull, and a single shot should be pretty straightforward. That said, you may pay as much for good trigger work as the gun cost you. There’s a guy in north MS who specializes in turkey guns who I’ve heard does good work, black river precision, but bump this thread in the morning and you should get some responses for gunsmiths more local.

Appreciate the info. Any further advice or recs would be appreciated as well.

My uncle brings his guns to Bayou Teche Guns in Arnaudville. I’d give them a call.
