Anyone ever used any of the apps that have been developed to identify tree species? There is a heaping pile of nice hardwoods lying around on the ground around us and I can readily identify red and white oak and hickory but there could be some pretty exotic wood about to be in a landfill that I would love to mill. Anyone have any experience with such apps? Any recommendations?

I use PictureThis. you just take a pic of the leaves and it will show you what tree it is.

I have used Google Lens that is built in to the camera app.

I use picture this as well. I think seek might do the same if you have it.
