modified Albright knot
I use the FG knot and it hasn't failed me yet. I may try this modified Albright knot to see if I can tie it faster
To the OP:
I'll use a leader on most of my moving baits with a single hook. I use straight flouro for cranks, ploppers, etc.
The flouro leader gives a little stretch as mentioned, which I like on a spinnerbait or chatterbait but allows me the sensitivity of braid
And I use Seaguar Tourney braid. Best I've found so far and I've been through them all.
ETA: i'm throwing a leader on any water that is somewhat clean when pitching. If it's stained or muddy (90% of south LA), i'm going straight braid.

When I used to use braid for everything I used to use leaders.
Ended up just switching to fluoro over time. Much easier with not much difference noticed outside of sound.

I started out using leaders because I thought I had to. Lol. I ended up taking them all off except for my freshwater worm rod. I use a high visibility braid and fluorocarbon leader.
