Cypress is worth a pretty good bit if it's in good shape.

Dude I ain't messing with Shelby. I was wondering because my dad found this log today and swears it's worth money and neither he nor I know anything about it. He wanted me to research it so I figure what better place than this

they have a guy that advertises during the show from S La. that specializes in salvaged wood. But my guess is if he has to do the work to get it out, you are not going to make much. Maybe a finders fee.

Call Brian Rivet from Gheens. I don't know if he will remove it or buy it but he will get you in touch with someone who can.

looks like you have to be permitted to salvage...

I don't know about marketing your logs but make sure you have all necessary permits to be working in wetlands before you harvest your first log. I read that S&S aqua logging of the American loggers show got into a lot of trouble for not having the proper permits

Sure hope no one from the corps of engineers is reading this. My uncle got his arse handed to him for doing some excavator work in back of our camp in the basin.

Cleaning a drainage canal on private land. Pretty sure the work is permitted

Here's the plan: get your pops to drop it in the bayou in at Charles community, I'll come down and tow it up the bayou to my house won my kayak, we'll winch it up on land and let it dry out for about 3 months then start carvin it up old school a la Belizair The Cajun with tools from laurel valley.

If you think any part of this is a joke other than the kayak part, you be wrong.
