I'm not drinking before getting in my climber, but have rarely dove hunted without a cold beer, or six. Post hunt, always have a beer.

If you hunt so you can drink Don't hunt stay at the camp

I don't want you in the woods with me or my family or my friends

When I was a kid, drinking was limited at the hunting camp to night time while playing cards.

I rarely drink much anymore but when I was younger it was nothing to be sitting in the duck blind waiting on daylight and a beer would be opened. We shot 1000s of rounds while drinking and shooting skeet. And no, I have never been on a dove hunt when we were not drinking.

A couple of those boys are alcoholics still.

Does this mean I would do it today? No, I wouldn't want to be around anyone like that especially with my kids.
