I plan on fishing ride the bull. I've only had my yak a couple of weeks so I've got lots of things to learn and figure out with it before I go paddling out in the pass. Leaving tommorow for GI so I plan on learning a lot this weekend with it as long as my offshore and drinking schedule don't get in the way .

I just ordered mine today. Never fished in one but I'll be at ride the bull. Staying at bridge side. There will be 6 or 7 of us. Just want to have fun, drink, and fish

On a yak? 4 times. In general a decent amount but not enough to translate into success on the yak. I feel I can catch fish if I learn how to locate them in a yak. It's mostly being unskilled in the find not the catch. I tend to get a little impatient sitting down which I'm trying to overcome and with more confidence that will fade.
Another thing is aside from my fellow OBers I don't really know anyone with a legit fishing yak. I don't even really know anyone as in to fishing as me.

PAC is a great place to go in a kayak. Can catch fish all over. Especially heading into the fall.
One thing I can tell you is to try to cover a lot of ground, for reds anyway. I like to stick next to shorelines and work perpendicular. Cover a lot of marsh this way. Popping cork with a gulp/dead shrimp is my go to.
