Either East or West. I'll check the forecast and tides tonight.

Stay east. West is going to be windy and muddy.

I need to start doing this. There are too many good spots around CENLA and I only go to a few.

Me and CG hit up Indian Creek today. It was bad bad bad. 2 little bass was all that felt like biting. The front came though a bit earlier than expected and had those fish locked up. We did get to try out some new gear though. I used the new Wilderness Systems Thrive Baitwell and it worked like a charm. I am excited to see how it performs with shrimp or croakers in the saltwater.

My only fish today was a 29" Red. It was also the only bite I had. Pretty sure that's my biggest Red caught in my yak. Just not a fan of Cocodrie.

Yeah public launch next to pump station
Paddled all the way to the lake and that's where I caught a few trout
Fog was terrible so I was sketched out about leaving to far from the bank

All these fish were in one area, had one other blowup in a pond by the launch but that's it

Top dog jr chartreuse
And one on a blue and orange she dog just out of curiosity. Actually ended up being my second over 27 so I threw her back
Was pretty fun day.

Spur of the moment because I thought I'd have to work Saturday, so all my tackle was at the camp, so I just pulled together a few rods and a couple baits last minute and rolled out

Those are always the best trips

ETA: tackle box with pliers were at camp also, didn't realize til I was trying to take red #1 off topdog with treble hooks in its mouth. Took like 5 minutes to unhook every time I caught one

Me and Dre were fishing the deep pond in front of the pumping station getting nice trout
well one of the locals didn’t like it started cussing at us and tell us he was going to cut it with his machete saying “I’ll cut ya, cut ya deep!” Went on for 30 mins
When we made our way over to the bank to ask him WTF dude he told his wife to call the police because “their gonna get me!”
Then he made his first cast and half the pole flew into the water, karma

Lesson of the day- don’t do GM meth...
