Wear snake boots and watch for snakes up high off the ground. Rattlers. Moccasins, and copperheads are plentiful on the TNWR.

Only time I've seen moccasins and rattlers in off the ground is during a flood mocs are not very good climbers.

Hogs have put a hurting in the snakes

Hunt close to the gane warden station and you will be by yourself.

Hunt in an area with cypress knees and you'll find plenty off the ground

Been twice , not going again. It’s too crowded. You can’t find a place to hunt without running into other hunters. The washboard roads are terrible. It’s either a dust bowl or a slop fest. Everything is 45 minute drive away. Took half a day to clean off all the mud off the underside of my truck.
