I see that little boat launch and it looks like a quick shot to the Lake. I’ve never taken it is there any worries on running aground any way from launch to Lake, and also is lake full of stumps? I’m always worried taking new routes. Don’t know anyone that fishes the area. Is it decent fishing there? I always see lots of trailers there so it seems like something must be good back there. TIA

Lake is not full of stumps. I've cut across the lake quite a few times and haven't hit anything yet.

Nothing to worry about running the canal. I haven’t been in the lake in a while but it usually gets an algae bloom this time if year and the first couple inches of water is solid green. The catfish should be turning on shortly on the cypress trees.
