You're probably referring to the Ruger 22/45 Lite that I posted up there^^^. Luger is the WWII maker of 9mm German handguns.
That's the one. I must've just mistyped.

If you think the slide is tough to rack on a .22 then I have some bad news for you. The recoil spring is gonna be stiffer for any higher caliber gun.
We didn't any have problem racking the P22. Just that the wife and kid had a little more trouble trying to rack the Sig .22 in the 1911 frame.

I would recommend a Ruger SR22 before a Walther P22. The Walther isn't bad but I've heard a few people who have had issues. The SR22 is set up a lot like the Walther but I think it's just a slight improvement in terms of ergonomics.
Looks good. How does it compare price-wise to the P22? How easy is it to break down? One of the big knocks on the P22 that I've seen is that it looks ridiculous to put back together.

Or if you can find a 22/45 LITE, they are great pistols but pretty new so good luck finding one.
Saw the LITE on "Davidson's Gallery of Guns" last wk and it looks too COOL! I may have a hard time not buying one. :-)

Checked these out today:
Didn't realize they made the M&P in a .22. Doesn't have the weird P22 mag release. Felt good. Would also be great since they have the .9mm version I could eventually graduate to.
I was familiar with the Ruger .22 LR poly snub nose but didn't realize they had this in a .22LR/.22 mag stainless revolver. Heavy gun but looks really cool.
Anyone have any personal experience with either?
Unfortunately, no Ruger .22 semi or Bersa Thunder .22 to check out. But I got to play with another PPK.

Yeah, I had the Ruger in blue, loved that pistol. Shot very well, I loved that mag change over. That's a bad azz round in a hollow point, the weight of the pistol took away most all the recoil.
It got stolen.
I also have the PPK made in West Germany. It's got weight for a baby pistol, my hands are big and that slide is sharp. Never shot it though.

My buddy has that exact ruger and it's a really nice gun. Solid as hell, his dad gave it to him. Definitely nicer than my rough rider.
