Wasn't somebody else coming down here this week and doing a little fishing?

I would be willing to split a day's guide fee with you as this 1/2 pound whiting, and 6-inch salt cats are ruining my life right now...

The old man at the bait store only has mullet and the pig has rotten shrimp.

I could go it alone but the catch limits are crap in Florida this year... LSU man at the pig gave me some shrimp marked wrong $ to get me bye, but its about gone.

let me know.

If you can get into some of the whiting, that will make a great dinner. They'll hit the dead shrimp or even cut bait. Or maybe try the cut. Agree that a guide would be best if you could make it work.

i don’t know what you call them in Louisiana,

But if you catch a skate(stingray), cut its wing into 10mm by 5mm by 5mm slivers on small hooks to catch the whiting.

The meat stinks and is tough. I never have to take them off the hook. They say on and still smell bad. I caught a lot of whiting with it while the pros were using cut bunker for slot drums.......and they waited and waited.

Also, if you have kids, catching multiple whiting gets them excited about fishing and leaves them little money for drugs.
