If I was lookin to take a few people on a guided Turkey, I’d focus my efforts towards SW Texas. Rios are easier to hunt and just not many good eastern spots in La. running a commercial operation.

Have turkey hunted TX a few times... Have a love/hate relationship with it.
Be careful and throughly vet any outfitter you consider using. Get references from successful and unsuccessful hunters who’ve hunted in the past 12 months. If they can’t provide them; find another outfitter.
The bad... My first trip to TX was basically a guy who hosted a dozen of us to help him offset the cost of his hunting lease. 3 days later I never laid eyes on; much less even heard a turkey. For that matter, 11 of the dozen went home empty handed. The host killed a Jake on the final day of the hunt.
Had a similar experience last year again. Relatively new outfitter who greatly exaggerated how many birds they had. 6 out of 8 went home empty handed. All of these guys were very experienced hunters with multiple Grand Slams between them.
What both of these hunts had in common was recommended by a friend of a friend and priced less than the going rate.
The Good - There are some great Ranches; I had a blast with Magnum Guide Service a few years back. It’s not an inexpensive hunt.
Having chased turkeys in a few dozen States now I can tell you that the idea that quality turkey hunting in TX is cheap is a total myth.
Your time and money is much better spent in Nebraska, Kansas or Oklahoma.

I’ve not hunted there in a few years; but, check out Central Kansas Whitetails. Wally the original owner sold the outfit a few years back; but, it must be going well as they are still turning out lots of turkeys and some huge bucks. I enjoyed hunting there so much I hunted turkeys there for 4 years straight.
I think a 3 day - 2 bird hunt is like $1,300. That includes a nice lodge and meals.
