Looking for suggestions for a 3 day+ canoe rental with shuttle within 8 hours or so of Baton Rouge, for approximately Monday, April 1, for 2 adults. My first choice is Buffalo River in Arkansas, but the extended forecast suggests rain so I'm looking for backup options. We'll primitive camp along the way. TIA!

QuaPaw Canoe Clarksdale,Ms

This site is extensive and informative. Jon the owner was one of the re-enactors of the Louis and Clark Expedition. Paddled all the way up the Missouri River. He knows every mile of the Mississippi.

We paddled from Ponca to Pruitt landing and service through Buffalo Outdoor Center where they will park your car to the spot you want to get off of the river at. We brought our own canoes but recommend doing this trip, It is a blast and good fishing. If you have paddled before it is awesome when it rains, some easy white water.

We used to go to Arrowhead in Glenwood, AR. They have cabins if you want plus I think camp spots. Good float if the river is up some, not so great if water level is low.
Start at their site then they pick you up at end of float to return.

Black Creek Canoe rental in Brooklyn, MS. They have a 3 day 2 night. Might can talk them into longer if they have another put in or take out option.
