Hiked SIL in 2004 and loved it. We started in the NNF campground, took the approach trail up to the AT, did the loop and returned to the campground. IIRC it was a total of ~33 miles and we did it in 3 days.
Just curious, was the person in the 6th picture drinking the water from the spring? If so, hopefully he didn't get the Big GLP.

drank water from creeks using our Sawyer Water filters
