Headed down to St. A in late July and would like to charter a boat for half a day with BIL's. Any charter recommendations or specific species to go after that time of year? We're saltwater noobs so any help is appreciated

You'll miss the dolphin runs, but the bottom fishing should be good. You can go out to the rip and maybe get some mackerel and wahoo. I always used Endless Summer with Billy Hunsicker. Good guys, know how to put people on fish.
