Spinoff: Deer feeding, what's to much?

Can you feed to much? I've been a public land hunter for most of my life so the lease I have been part of I've put up a corn feeder and called it a day. I've got a family now which includes a 3 yr old who's chomping at the bit to get after it. I brought him out Sunday and have never seen him so excited. I set up a nice, 8' box stand on an old logging trailer separating 3-4 yr old pine and virgin hard wood. About 70 yards off the box I've got a barrel feeder with 100 lbs of corn, 2 stumps with deer Cain, and buck jam on a few logs. All of this is within 20' from each other. Is it to much?!? My plan was to create a "buffet" and just leave it alone for a couple of yrs. I'm hopeing to create a safe place that becomes a go to spot for young does to feed. When the time comes, take stand and let my little one take his first nanny. I myself will be in my 14 yr old old man climber hunting rub lines and scrapes

I don't think there is a "too much"
What I would recommend is putting out a lot of salt on those stumps. Like stack up 6 or 8 mineral blocks and let the rain and weather dissolve the salt and minerals into the wood and soil. That will start the process of building a permanent mineral luck that deer will come to for years!

For what you said your goal for the spot is, I think your fine although it may be overkill I doubt its going to hurt anything. I'd make sure to encourage the growth of some thick cover at the edges to help the deer feel more secure and more willing to come out into the shooting lanes.

Yep, I haven't touched the pine side of the lane. It's tick tick

I have found if you put too much corn out the deer will hit it at night. So I like to set the timers on the feeder to spread a little corn in the morning and evening. So the deer can't gorge when they want.
