I remember you posting about that stand, you are a good man and I pray you persevere in this over the long run. POS's have a way of revealing themselves - keep doing what you are doing brother, it will be appreciated one day. Good thing about youth season is it runs all week. Maybe you guys can sneak out one afternoon.

Thanks man

Unbelievably frustrating trying to teach him and make a hunter out of him while his dad shows him the ways of an outlaw. Just hope one day he will come around.

Stay at it Feliciana. That kid will tell you how much he appreciates it one day, and it will have all been worth it.

At least ill be comfortable this year on those all day hunts and not balled up freezing in a lock on

Can't blame the kid. He is severe ADHD and still hunting is hard for him. His dad on speed is a lot more fun to hunt with and they run dogs and shite. I'm likely done bending over backwards until he expresses a real interest. (Usually happens when I come home with horns in the back of my truck)

Think green jeans would buy it if I had my 3 yr old in the stand and. Rem 700 .280?

That'd be tough, but you wouldnt be the first one who has tried.

Will be in a box stand with my 9 year old this Saturday morning. My 6 year old is starting to get interested also.

There is NOTHING like watching your son shoot his first deer. I will never forget that moment.

100 times better than when I shot my first.

Gonna be some deer hitting the ground in those West Feliciana hills this weekend, hopefully.

Best of luck to you all.

Big family hunt in area 2. 3 of my 4 kids loved going on the early youth hunts. They are now adults, but those were some awesome times. We still talk about the adventures we had. We dont get to go nearly as much together now days. I miss that.
