Sobering Day on the lake.

Went up to stawberry Res today with A buddy, his son, my boy and the wife. While we didn't slay the we had a great time, despite our comedy of errors. We lost my buddy's fishing hat, a down rigger weight and ALMOST lost his wife's favorite rod. My wife managed to grab the line and was able to pull it back in. even though the bail was open. My buddy said, "It was time to restring it anyway.

Had a great burger and ice cream a the mom and pop joint down at the bottom of the hill. All in all, a great day.

When we got home we found out why the sheriffs chopper was flying around on the other side if the lake. A 15 y/o boy had gone under and not resurfaced. He did not make it. God rest his soul,

It was windy and rough, but that's not uncommon this time of year. Please, please, please, wear you life jackets people. You neve know what might happen.
