So glad to be at the camp

Nothing crazy or fancy here, just good to be outdoors and making fun stuff happen with my family and old friends. A few pics of life and making stuff happen with the inevitable camp suppy/tool shortages.

Lake Michigan. Been in the family for years, but its a haul to get there to say the least. 16 hours from south Louisiana.

Hasn't frozen over since 1977ish, and that's good. Lake levels are high lately and most of the outflow is evap in winter, so you want that sun-evap combo. Ice = no evap. There are plenty of good nearby small lakes and rivers for fishing even in winter.

Used to have small powerboats, but you have to trailer every day or keep a slip down the lake. No docks. First storm would come up and thrash them to pieces. We had 6' waves the first three nights we were here last week. Anymore it's just canoe, kayaks, paddle boards, etc...
