They’re purposely not putting everything on social media, but have been doing a lot of work with the state marine resources

And now it’s on social media. Halfway joking. A lot of eyes on this board.

Interesting. A friend of mine just caught a bone fish off the beach this fall outside of Destin, a very rare catch. I've only heard of 2-3 snook caught in the florida panhandle. Most of our Creeks and rivers are spring fed, so fairly constant temp year round.
that’s pretty awesome. I grew up in OBA and caught a bonefish on a pompano rig a long time ago. Every now and then I hear of a couple being caught - don’t know if it’s hurricanes doing it or what. The area also has a great permit fishery now too.

I don’t know why this area has so many snook. Quite a few are hanging around Mississippi too. They seem to have adjusted to the winters and hopefully they spread along the coast.

I don’t think I have ever heard of one being caught in Louisiana

Snook would be a great addition to SE Louisiana should they be able to establish themselves.

Permit is another species that would be great to see flourish as well. I know they're caught on occasion in Timbalier.
