I’ve got a bad wasp problem around one of my shops. They are in everything. Equipment, walls, everything. Is there any way to eradicate these little frickers short of 20 cans of wasp spray? It’s a big area that I’m wanting to control. I have a fogger, and means to other equipment if needed.

What I have done it take a stihl gas powered sprayer that blows a mist out the blower tube and mixed termidor. Spray everything/the entire building early in the morning while it’s still cool. They will all leave and die before that day is over. They will be gone for at least 3 months then do it again as soon as you see them coming back

Termidor IS NOT a knockdown chemical. They will come after you if you spray them when it’s hot.

I’d try to get them after dark. Few things are as rewarding as blasting Satans spawn with wasp killer while they are blind and paralyzed by nightime.

Do you have to spray them directly with the termidor, or is it a fogger type stuff? I’ve never used it.

A shop vac always makes for an adventure. Put a couple inches of water in it to drown the little bastards.

Hard pass.

I’ve got your regular little yellow jackets (not the ground ones), the big red wasps, and about a jillion of those great big orange bastards that look like a dragon fly coming at you. I was double fisting cans of raid wasp and hornet spray today, and those frickers were eating right through it. Those sumbitches look like ducks flying out of the block. Evidently they are made like them too cause that shite looked like it was beading up and rolling off their backs as they were flying at me. I dropped the cans and ran screaming like a little girl. Screw a wasp. I’ve got half a mind to check up on my insurance and torch the whole fricking place. I’ve got a pretty neat flame thrower my pops built many years back that’ll reach out and touch some shite, but I’m not sure I want to go through all the clean up that’ll be left when I get done.

If I could see all the nests, I’d take that route. But the majority of them are in every little crack and crevice in the place. For example, I jumped on the tractor today and about 17 thousand came out of the ROPS. I slid across that damn think like Bo Duke jumping across the hood of the general lee. There is apparently a small hole about halfway up that the little frickers found and made a metric shite ton of nests in there. I’m telling you, I think the front tires are off the ground cause of all the weight in the rear from wasp nests in there.

Did I mention I hate fricking wasps? I’d rather have to get a nest of rattlesnakes out of there than wasps.

I don’t know the exact chemistry of it but it is a miticide and most terminator companies use it or a generic form to spray for termites. It kills insects and spiders that self clean their selves. The only thing that I know of that it won’t kill are dirt daubers.

If your shop is made out of wood it will soak into the wood and they die when they try to make the wood into paper for nests. If it’s metal I don’t really don’t know how long it will last, but the chemical will still be on the wall.

You don’t have to use that stihl misting sprayer, I just like it because it gets everywhere will little work by the operator. You can also reach eaves of your house with it on calmer days.

If it’s as bad as you say it is, I’d hire an exterminator and be done with it.

Watch where they go in and out on the ROPS and spray a little FlexSeal on the hole.

And go drive your tractor more often

We have a 900 square foot camp that has no attic access and a fairly low pitched metal roof. The entire attic is full of those bastards. There is a screened opening at each end of the roof. During the day there are thousands of them on each side crawling on the screens. I'm not sure an exterminator would take that job.

Get a pro exterminator to recommend a treatment, then when it's done buy a case of "Great Stuff" foam or similar and fill all the crevices and cracks you can find. Best solution is to just deny them places to build nests.

I went to Pest Stop in Metairie a couple weeks ago and he sold me this shite to spray around my house to nuke them....I forget what It was called but I mixed in a 2 gallon sprayer and sprayed all around my house, shed, bushes, everything.....I havent seen a wasp since.

I would call him and ask him what it's called and get you some. It was only like $28 bucks....much cheaper than buying a bunch of $6 dollar cans of wasp spray at Home Depot

Wait till the evenings or early mornings to spray for them when they are less active...

Spray at night when they’re all in their nest. Also get a spray that will kill any that return to the nest. Like Bee blast

I use demon wp. Kill a lot of different insects. Just drop a baggy in a sprayer filled with water and go to town. Kill wasp and ants in a couple of minutes. Depending on how far your sprayer can spray, you don’t have to get close. I even spray holes where I think they are and don’t see very many.

bug bombs. Get you a 9 pack of bug bombs by Bengal. Drape tarp around open walls (if you have any) and set them bi@tches off like you are in chemical warfare....you should have plenty of masks laying around to protect yourself...LOLOLOL
