A lot of hikers are now documenting their hikes on YouTube videos. They create a YouTube channel and post. I believe YouTube will pay $5 for every 500 views of your videos.

I just got back from hiking a section of the AT with my dad for the 4th of July weekend. My mom dropped us off at Harpers Ferry then we hiked approx 75 miles in 3 days to Shippensburg Road off PA-233, where my mom was waiting to pick us up.

Y'all made great time! I can't walk that fast anymore, much less with a backpack.
How many hours did it take you to cover ~25 miles per day? Pack weight?
Typically, I'd cover 12 - 16 miles per day for 5 or 6 nights. You covered the same amount of trail that would have taken me me the better part of a week!

My dad's pack was 27 lbs and mine was 38 lbs. I had the tent & metal pegs/stakes, he had the poles.
It's OK, he's practically a senior citizen.
We also pack a lot of water + the Sawyer filter.
Yeah, covered approx 25 miles a day. We hiked about 10 hours each day with 2-3 breaks along the way. We start early, usually hit the trail around 7am. We cover a lot of ground because we don't talk much on trail. We are focused on getting to our next stop to set up camp.
We're coming back for Labor Day weekend. We're going to hike section Ashby Gap to Bears Den Rocks aka The Roller Coaster. I can't wait!

At Harpers Ferry, we came across this sign on trail. I wasn't aware they are placing trail cameras along the trails. See the bottom of the sign.
