Engine cut off... Now won't crank. Is there an emergency cut off switch or something I need to reset?
Pulled out metal and all belts, blades, etc look fine

Did you make sure you turned the blade switch back off? I've had employees panic when they hit something and immediately turn key off, and forget the blades are still engaged

Blades are not engaged. Shaft does not appear to be bent, but I have not lifted the mower to look

Have to have jarred one of the safety switches. Should be one for the seat, one for the blades, one for each steering arm, and one for parking brake.

Where would I find them? See nothing in the manual or online ??

Sheared flywheel key maybe?

Little grey push-buttons. You should be able to easily see the one for the parking brake by your left calf (when sitting on mower). The rest should look similar. Is it turning over, just clicking, or nothing at all?

Makes 1 click when I try to crank it

Clicking at solenoid or starter? Not sure how hitting something would damage either one, but thats usually what clicks
Posted on 6/7/15 at 6:03 pm to bootlegger
Makes same click that it does when trying to crank w/o parking break on or in neutral.
Crap. Guess I'm headed to Pro Power 2morro. Wanted to mow before LSU game, now my mower is sittin n the yard
Thanks to all for trying to help

ok if you got clicking near the starter it's typically a solenoid.
All solenoid does if when you turn the switch on it expands the copper around metal to expand to make a circuit.
Joke is if you look at them wrong they stick. I use to work for ope mfg in design and owned 4 service centers its don't take much. Now I can say tap on it lightly with rubber mallet to see if it will unstick or do the screw driver to bypass it. I would rather not tell anyone that. Again ignore that.
Starter would sound like a grind.
Fuse is good because you got
Juice to soleniod.
If safety switches are bad you will have no sound.
Doing better than most people that sell ope. They don't even know what a blade stretcher is, battery watcher, or belt shrinker is. Hee Hee Hee

It has 8 hours on it! Sillindoid could stick for running over an object? Crazy

They have new ones that stick right off the assembly line or on the line.
Each rzt made by larger mfg's like MTD & husqvarna are tested before they are put in the crate.
Get them to the dealer, uncrate them, and got minor quirks.
Every brand has this issue.
Now not looking at it its hard to say what it is.
From what you are saying it sounds like a soleniod.

Sheared aluminum flywheel key. Don't replace it with a steel one.

quote:if the motor is getting spark then this is 100% what it is. It's usually the last thing people check.
Sheared flywheel key maybe?
This is all it takes to throw the timing off whack
