/thread.
This is a terrible idea. Get a livewell, an ice chest, 5 gallon bucket, whatever... Anything but a 4' tall monster can on wheels.

When I made the comment about beer I was only thinking about beer.

I really like the idea of repurposing items.
This particular raw object meets all the major qualifications for a good medium to large size baitfish live bait well.
Greater than 12" diameter
Round
Insulated
Drain hole in the bottom
Has a lid
The height is a bit tall for sure but it could possibly be cut down. The advantage to its height is not taking up as much floor space for a larger volume. A latching water tight lid would be a nice addition, along with an aerated input line and a recirculating aerator pump. Could easily wrap it in vinyl decal of choice (plain white, lsu, or even boat specific) for a small price. Just because its tall dosent mean it has to be filled to the top either.
You would need to secure it and adding a 3/8" rubber pad on bottom would be a good start along with some form of tie down eyelets.
All that being said, a boat large enough to utilize this likely has a nice built in live well.
Certainly would make a nice live bait tank for a camp and or for transfering freshwater fish for those of us that restock ponds.

I could see it being a good place to keep shiners at a camp, for cheap, but not in a moving boat.
