I would much rather hunt that "late" rut. Most folks are burnt out by then. Always get a good buck that time of year.

I will be headed back home to Oak Grove this weekend. Hoping to take down a big 10pt with the 45/70. He wont come out during the day so hoping a hot doe will change his way of thinking.

A guy killed a nice 10 with a swollen neck last week at our place south of Shreveport.
