#1: Colt Mustang Pocketlite. If you have the money get it. It will not disappoint.
#2. Kimber Micro .380. Smooth, reliable, accurate pistol.
#3: Sig Sauer P238. Really liked the look of this one and almost pulled the trigger at under $499 on sale last year. Nothing much different then the first two other then preference. It's as expensive as the Colt, and Kimber, but mostly has the same reliability, and quality.
#4: Glock 42. Like this one a lot, but it's kind of big for "pocket carry" No question it'll get the job done.
I really like the 1911 platform, in fact, the Kimber Micro 9 is one of my active cc guns. While not exactly a 1911, the Colt Mustang, Kimber Micro 380 and Sig P238 you mentioned (as well as the SA 911 380) have the look, feel and basic manual of arms of the 1911. I've shot my son's Sig 238 and really like it. Having said all that, I don't like 1911 type 380's for pocket carry. As I mentioned earlier, to me the 380's are best used as a pocket carry gun. I want my pocket carry to to be as snag free as possible (not have a Beavertail that's large for a really small gun), have a hammer that's not exposed and cocked (I think 1911 type guns should be carried "cocked and locked". Unfortunately, this creates increases chances of the cocked hammer to snag during the draw and really exposes the innards of the gun to pocket lint) and a fairly long double action type trigger pull (not the short trigger pull of the SAO 1911 platform). I really like the looks and shooting characteristics of the 1911 380s and would like to get one except I don't know what use I'd find for it. I agree w/ in that a number of smaller 380's are better suited for pocket carry than the M42 Glock.

People might laugh, but for the money right now, other than that Kel-Tec P32, I'd probably get a Taurus Spectrum.
