The book that comes with Meopta provides little information about the specific scope that you purchased. The power ring is a bit different. The Christmas tree reticle is nearly useless, as it requires a 6x setting to work.

I'm a big Meopta fan and really like their FFP offerings. The Optika5 scopes are great for hunting, and their low-light performance, like the 6's, is very good. Yes, you do need to pay attention to the manual. I do prefer bullet drops for hunting, so much quicker to get on target than dialing.

I have Zeiss 3x12x54. It's a great scope looking at highline. I love it.

Cant remember if I posted in this thread or not, but I'm at work today and bored. I like Zeiss and Leupold, but the 50+ mm objectives are huuuuge on a nice slim Tikka. For an aught six hunting rifle, you dont need to think about focal planes, reticle trees, etc. My suggestion is to keep it simple and practice your shots:
Zeiss Conquest V4 3-12x44
VX-3HD 4.5-14X40
VX-5HD 2-10X42
highly recommend an illuminated dot in the cross-hairs. Thats helped me more with low-light shots than "optics". I've got the CDS dial on a couple of guns and dial it up for 400-500 yd shots, but thats on guns made for distance and I've practiced. These suggestions cost more than Vortex, Meopta and others mentioned here, but I buy once, cry once, and dont look back.

Those are both good scopes.
Maven has some good pedigree. Engineers left several scope manufacturers, including Swarovski to build scopes and sell directly.
I like Steiner myself.
The bigger the objective (44, 50) the better. Eyes do need help later in life…..
