Had some great advice from people on this forum re: this build. Finished the build late Summer 2018 and traveled around the West Coast/Southwest the last three months. Planned to keep the van another year but got the urge to travel abroad so we put her on the market.

Best of luck to anyone doing their own van builds!

At 33 I wish. Recovering attorney who decided to take 1-2 years off to travel.

Looks great.

Only issue I have is with the propane tank being inside.
(hope you at least have a propane detector)

That, and I would just lock the bikes on a carrier behind the van to free up that space for more storage.

Yes. I have a propane/LP/smoke alarm and detector plus the propane area is double-vented.

When we first designed the van we wanted to create a stealth camper. Also, for multi-day hikes without the bike and for Central America we didn't want the bikes stored on the extior. Thus, I designed the internal pull-out racks for them.

I like the current design because you can easily use the pull out rack for anything you want and opt for an extior bike rack. If you want to store the bikes on the interior you have that option too.

Not a good idea when you have two $4000.00 bikes which are just average mid tier bikes if you are a serious bicyclist.

Didn't intend to advertise on here. Someone specifically requested it in the comments. Deleted link.

Had originally planned to go to S. America with it but build took longer than expected and it threw off our attempt to chase summer. Plus crossing Panama canal would have cost us ~$2K+ each way with van. So we decided to sell the van and re-arrange our world travels.
