Just snagged a 5" mullet. Now I'm fishing with live bait.

So it's the one that runs into the MRGO? I'm thinking about taking little man down there in a couple days...maybe the wife.

ETA-La Loutre runs parallel to the main hwy, right? I thought they were catching them in the short canal that runs from the hwy to MRGO. Is that not right?

Yeah, Bayou La Loutre is down by Breton Sound, and runs across the MRGO into the Biloxi Marsh. I'm gonna post a pic in a minute...hold on. I think I know where you're talking about though.

You're fishing closer to the very left side of this picture, right? Bayou La Loutre is on the far right side across from BSM. My confusion is, do they also call the Bayou that runs along the hwy down to Hopedale La Loutre? Because after it crosses the MRGO, that's definitely La Loutre. I thought they were catching the reds in the short bayou that goes from the road to the MRGO past Campos, right by the bridge, and I'm pretty sure that's Bayou Ycloskey. But maybe you're catching right off the main hwy, which might be La Loutre.

Im standing 30 ft from the bridge. "Bayou La Loutre" is carved into one of the bridge pillars.

Maybe ur confusing the Hwy names? The road in front of Campos is Yscloskey Hwy.

I gotcha, I thought they were catching them in the short canal that runs perpindicular to the main hwy. You're on Florissant Hwy, or LA 46, or whatever else they wanna call it.

Shell Beach was so crowded today.. Simply unreal; probably 2000 people fishing a quarter mile stretch of the canal.

The fish were there too.

Got the phone call from a buddy at 2:30 on Saturday saying they had limited out on reds by 11:30. Got the little man, met up with my buddy who wanted to go back and headed down around 3:15. Nobody was catching anything in the Canal by Campos. Decided that the morning would be better. We got there around 7:30 and by 8:30 both sides of the canal were filled to capacity. Caught a few throw backs and left with two over 22". Lost another keeper trying to let my 5 year old reel it in. We had fun and it was his first redfish. Really wish my buddy would have had his damn cell phone on him Saturday morning.
