With hurricane season coming, I need to get my generator repaired. Can anyone provide recommendations on someone who will come to the house (BR area) and work on a small generator (5000 watts)?

The generator weights a ton and I don't really have anyone to help me get it in the car to bring to a shop.

Thank you.

Depending on the brand and the problem you may have a hard time finding someone. If it's just getting the gas engine running then I'd call a small engine repair shop that works on that engine. Think lawnmower shop. Might also look up who your local Generac dealer is and call them and see if they service small generators. That's probably your best chance for having someone come out to your house.

Standard 5000 watt generator that was having some issues last year. Leaks in the fuel line, running terrible, etc...
