The coyotes around our huse are getting bold and we've seen them twice in the last week in the yard mid-morning and I'm pretty sure they are hunting my little dog. I'd like to take a couple of them out so they move on. Does anyone have experiece with an effective predator call? Are the ones with decoy fur/motion better?
Any advice appreciated.

Do you live in a subdivision or on acreage outside the city limits ? How close is the nearest neighbor ? What firearm/cartridge do you plan on disposing them with ? FoxPro makes a great e-caller; however, I’m willing to bet these coyotes have been educated and smarter than you think. They do not fear humans and have successfully adapted to urban America. They primarily hunt by sense of smell, and will circle downwind to make sure its safe. Watch several YouTube videos on the subject before you educate the song dogs and they go nocturnal.

I'm on 5 acres with plenty of space.
As I wrote, they are getting bold and being seen in the daytime. I know how smart they are and I've also read Coyote America, great book. These definitely fear humans and I'm trying to kill one or two so they move on.
I'm just looking for a recommendation on an electronic call.

Buy a FoxPro or similar caller and start shooting. It’s currently breeding season and females will drop 6-8 pups after a 60 day gestation period. The den is close by. Easiest coyotes to kill are the young pups in July who are curious, will be hungry, and non-educated to e-callers.
