I'm not looking to break the bank but want something reliable to clear some brush and mow our farm

I've always based size of the cutter on 7hp per foot, this is pto hp and not engine hp.

Bush Hog, Woods, Rhino, Land Pride, Modern will all have a good cutter for what you want with Modern probably being the cheapest of those 5. The question is whi is the nearest tractor dealership in your area for service/parts when you need it.

I have a Woods Brush Bull 720. It's a medium duty cutter which has 120hp gearbox and a slip clutch. It's a beast. I highly recommend.

stay away from belt drives on rotary cutters. That tractor should handle a 7 to 8 ft deck.
