Horrible choice. I don't think you were looking for a "survival knife" bc that does not fit the bill

Excellent choice. It's probably the national knife of Sweden.

Thank you. I have read all about them on actual SURVIVAL forums. Plenty of people recommend them. The biggest thing about choosing a knife is anticipating what you are going to be using it for. And for what I am planning on using it for, it just isn't practical to get a 6"-8" knife that costs $100+ which I really dont need.

With that said, the Mora is 1095 steel, is a 4" blade, has a double guard, a 3/4 length tang, and a sheath for under $20. You just can't beat that.

Right. If you're gonna chop wood, bring a hatchet (which by the way you can also easily spend $200 on).

In a similar vein, a Nesmuk fits the bill, at least according to Mr. Nesmuk.

nesmuk

I do like my expensive knife, tho.

You should have posted the knife and had people review it if they had experience with it/insight as a "survial" knife.

You basically didn't look at any suggestions in the thread and had already made your mind. And now your being somewhat of an a-hole about it.

Carry on.

Thats not true at all. I looked at each and every knife posted. I was more than willing to pick up a Knife someone recommended.

It wasn't until after this thread that I found the Moras and the only reason I even mentioned them is because they were in someone else's post.

But these knives are recommended by dozens of "expert" survivalists. And the fact that multiple people in this thread are bashing them is just kind of funny to me.

If the fact that my knife could cut yours in half is considered "bashing" then thats my cross to bear i guess

Your original comment can be considered bashing.

Your last comment can be considered hilarious.
