I had my CC class today and I passed with no problems. One possible problem is the class does the fingerprinting and they had a lot of trouble with my fingerprints being a lot of my ridges are worn down. I worked in construction and did a lot of work with my fingers. The instructor commented that older people have less ridges. If the Arkansas State Police don't accept my fingerprints I may have to get them taken again. If they refuse to accept the second fingerprinting they would have to depend on my background check which will not have any problems with. But all of this delays me getting my CC permit.

Well that sucks. I got my CC to speed up gun purchase mainly. In and out in about an hour with the usual retail store issues or send my card info to my FFL guy. There are a couple scenarios that not having it may be better. State depending I'm sure. Like a traffic stop. But it did get me out an inspection sticker ticket, so I got that going for me.

I am thinking of something else that interfered with my fingerprinting is I was freezing cold in the building. The heat was at the back of the room and I was in the front. I get cold easy and I was shivering during the class.

Start hydrating a few days prior and use hand lotion before you get them when you go again.

did this for several months. Still "off" with live rounds.
Insert obligatory safety warning here...
When you dry fire, the initial goal is to find a finger position where the sights do not move during your trigger stroke.
Identify that position and continue to dry fire until you can dry fire every time without those sights moving even a bit from your point of aim. Chamber mounted laser devices help.
Then go to the range and dry fire 5 times before a round or 2 of live for a while. Boring, but this is how you condition yourself to apply correct trigger technique to live fire.
A right handed shooter with poor trigger position will usually drift low and left in a variable wedge shaped scatter of hits. It is possible to pull to the right, but not as common.
Anticipation drift hits are often just down.
You likely have a combination of fixable issues - most people do.
It is also possible that the sights may be off, but unless someone changed them from the factory, that is unlikely.

I got a letter yesterday from Arkansas State Police saying the FBI rejected my fingerprints. It said to get a second set run and if this set fails also the FBI will research my name only. I went today for my fingerprinting and they did a lot better than the first one's did. I had so much lotion on my fingers the guy doing the fingerprinting had to wipe the screen after each set.

Keeping fingers crossed!

My fingerprints went through and I got my CC license yesterday. Now I need to find an OWB holster.
