Loading the yak and putting in at Bergeron’s campground and hit those drainage ditches in the Chenal canal. Nonstop bass action with all that rainwater running out those fields. They hit just about anything in that fast water but I’m starting out with my favorite muddy water lure, a 1/2 oz chartreuse/black back rattle trap. Good luck to all out today!

Just boated bass #1 (13”) at a runout on the 4th cast. The sun is out in southern Pointe Coupee parish and the bassin looks promising.

Caught 2 more bass (11 & 14”) on a 3/8 oz black and blue chatter bait. They seem to like the dark color better today. Paddling back to the bridge now because round 2 storm is inching my way.

Hell yeah. Sounds like you been watching that radar waiting for it to clear. Don’t forget to post pics.
