I know a lot of people swap and trade gun or maybe trade a pistol for AR parts and stuff like that. What methods do you use to ensure tht the gun you are getting isn't stolen?

Pretty obvious answers so far. Just wanted to kinda take a poll and see what the common practices are.

Don't trade with people who have dreadlocks and/or stink.

The only time I've sold to someone who I had any doubts about I made him sign a bill of sale and took down his drivers license number.

Great rule. Maybe I should bring this up in my testimony when a guy claims he didn't know the gun was stolen

Actually made a pretty good find today. Guy had some really nice legit tactical rifles. Unfortunately for him he was also buying rifles, shotguns, and TVs from a guy with dreadlocks and probably smelled bad.

No one with dreadlocks is a good guy. And that's not a racist statement, there's plenty of white people with dreadlocks I wouldnt trust.

I think I would trust a white guy with dreads even less.

Most white guys with dreads are hippy wanabees. Or just mangy.

I had a hand full stolen years ago. It frustrates me that when being stopped by cop or green jeans no one has ever run the numbers to make sure they were not stolen.
