There is a chance that I will be inheriting some guns. Not sure exactly what are how many. These were my grand father’s so they would be pretty old. I know at least one of them has been reblued. I was told that when a gun is reblued it lowers the value of said gun. Just curious if that is true or not. If I were to be gifted these guns I would never try to sale them. I would pass them down to my son. I am one of those people that think if you own a gun then it will never be sold. Yoc can never have to many guns. TIA

Refinishing guns depends on the gun. Quality refinishing normally costs a lot more than the gun is worth. If the gun isn't rare and collectible, you probably aren't going to hurt the value much.

With that being said, go on gunbroker for any gun that you are unfamiliar with and check current prices. Sometimes guns that appear to be worth little can be worth a lot.
