Probably the latter. Vermont is nothing but Kumbiya hippies and the biggest city is about the size of Covington. Nothing really screams hot bed of criminal activity.

ETA: I also think it's the whitest state in the country. Not that its related at all, just thought it was interesting.

Constitutional carry, whitest state in the nation, I've heard the hunting and fishing are excellent. I'm having a hard time not packing my bags right now.

Is that lack of crime related to having the carry laws they do, or are the carry laws allowed because of the lack of crime. Ponder that one.

Cowards tend to attack the weak. They tend to not frick with people who have a 45 ACP strapped to their hip.

It is 95% white. Beautiful country. People tend to be a bit flaky, but nothing wrong with that. From upper NY to Maine is an awesome area for the outdoorsman.

Pennsylvania has something like 300,000 registered gun users too If I'm not mistaken. They're a hunting Tate as well. Supposedly some pretty country up there once you get out the cities.

The country parts of the Northeast are beautiful, the cities are shitholes. Biggest deer I've ever seen in my life. The only part about living up here I really don't like is winter. frick you 3 feet of snow! But seriously rural pennsylvania is a lot like MS, AL, GA, TX etc.

Michigan, Wisconsin...Upper NY State are all the same. Go sit in a rural bar, the people are similar to those you meet in the South.

Problems arise when the douchebag liberals that inhabit the big cities begin to outnumber these folks.

It's not the states that are the problem, its the non producing urbanites that think they're so superior to the rural areas, and unfortunately the urbanites have numbers on there side.

Well, you hit the nail on the head there.

People are the same no matter where you go. The real difference in this nation, the dividing point, isn't regional. It's urban/rural. This is the geopolitical war going on.

Rural people want to just live our lives. Urban people want to tell everyone how to live their lives.

Which is so ironic bc the south is so criticized for not being open minded but they pretty much stay to themselves. Liberals look down on anyone who doesn't agree with their beliefs.

That's the hypocrisy of the liberal mindset. They believe that if you don't feel the way they do then you're wrong. Conservative mindset is based on personal responsibility and individual freedom. Which equates to leave me alone and I'll leave you alone.

yeah, they are self labeled elitists. They think they know what's good for you.

I see many people bash California, but geographically most of California is normal. It's the urban centers, and they have some huge urban centers...that cause the problem for the rest of them.

I know many don't believe it, but Texas will start to swing this way in a decade or less. Increasing minority population and increasing urbanization, many coming from other urban areas.

If you live in a big city and have no land to do anything on. Why would you need certain freedom. What would there be to do

That's what happened to Colorado. Liberals migrated from California to the urban cities and turned the state blue.

Exactly what happened to Co, and Oregon to some degree. It's also happening more slowly to Montana.

I was unaware that it was happening in Montana. That sucks, I had high hopes Montana would stay strong against the limp wristed pillow biters.
