Anyone have experience with the newer Sportsman 850’s? Looking to try something new in lieu of another Grizzly, however will go grizzly just the fact the 2014 model we have is great if the POPO is a POS.
Model interested in is a 2018 Sportsman 850 SP. I like the features it offers and the engine size.

That must be one powerful ATV. I have the Yammy Kodiak 700 and it's a beast.

We have a 2015. Not a ton of hours but been through 3 oil changes and no problems to date. Its no doubt overkill in many ways but it is a ton of fun. Does anything we need it to and more as well.

My dad and I love our 14 grizzly. Just trying something new. It’s definitly overkill but I like some of the features on the 2018 than I do the grizzly. Bigger engine, adult beverage holder built in, arched front/rear a-arms, and more onboard storage.

Drive them both. The 850 is a beast. Insane power. But it will not have the handling of your grizzly.
I like a Polaris for a straight working bike. Getting firewood, hauling logs, working a food plot.
But you have to have to have to do your maintenance. And that means cleaning it after use and greasing it.
Excellent bikes, I just hate their front rack system and how much they weigh.
Also...to preserve belt life on a Polaris clutch, do not worry about taking off smoothly, just give it gas and go. Your yamaha handles all of that for you.
Pricing wise, the 850 is cheaper if you price match atv zone against friendly or vice versa.
We just snagged a blue general at below cost with a ton of free shite thrown in
Neither dealer wanted the other to get the sale. Win or lose.

The 700 yamaha is like a stock half ton truck.
The 850 Polaris is like a tuned one ton.
When you hit the gas, you're going straight. But good lord does it go straight in a hurry

Sweet. Maintenance upkeep isn’t an issue. Handling wise I’m only in tighter stuff when I’m up at the Alabama lease. Florida land I’m on is mostly orange groves and maintained roads through some leases.
Not a fan of the popo’s weight. I have an email into strongmade about a basket for the front.
I wish Yamaha would drop a larger engine into the grizzly. It’s such a great all around quad.
Nice buy on the general. If I had space for a trailer I would definitely go with a side by side.

Expect an 850 Viking and grizzly at the end of the year.
Building now.

When I saw the Wolverine X4 I figured I should just wait a little longer.
