Polaris Ranger making a clicking noise...

My ranger, 2012 800 XP, is making a clicking noise when it's in gear and rolling. The sound itself appears to be coming from the rear. I replaced the inner and outer boots on the rear axel and the sound is still there. Any ideas what it could be? CV joints maybe?

ball joints and axel needs to be changed.
Did you grease the boots?

I'm working on the road, so I had my buddy take care of it. He works on a lot of bikes and wheelers, so I trust him to shoot me straight and do a good job. I don't know if he greased the boots. I know the joints and axel weren't replaced though.

can you narrow the clicking noise down to certain circumstances (i.e. when you accelerate, brake, or turn)...

That's the built in cash meter on what you're gonna be spending to fix that POS. I've seen tooooo many friends spend tons of money fixing theirs. I'll stick with my Honda's and Yamaha's. Seems like after every big ride, all the Polaris owners were headed to the shop with those things. They really should supply extra axles with each new one, cause you're gonna need it.

I hear it the most when the gears are engaged and it's rolling forward and sometimes when turning.
I'm getting all of thus info from my wife, who is most knowledgeable about these things; which is why I came here. Lol

I don't take mine on mud rides. I bought it and used it for work in Wyoming 2012. Once that job ended, I brought it home and it's used mostly for yard work and as a toy for the kids.
