I understand. It’s just the best option with kids and people besides me in the house. If it was just me, I’d have guns laying around all over.

I agree with this. There are lock boxes that are purely mechanical and the only risk of failure is the person not operating it correctly. There are good ways to have a loaded gun both readily accessible to you and nobody else.

These are $150 for (2) right now. They're quick access and pretty durable

Would they keep a determined/ curious kid out for long with 81 combination variations? Not sure

Do you have one? Almost got that not long ago but didn't for a reason I cant recal.

Amazon sells small lock boxes for $25 or so and they work really well. Not so much as a quick access box but great for a way to store a pistol in a drawer or by the door.

I don't have one. I opened this thread yesterday and googled lock boxes for guns and they exploded in advertising on my FB and on here... I did some surface level research on the ones I linked and they seem good
