Paint stain for outside cover

Just built a cover for my outdoor area that’s made with pressure treated lumber. What’s the best type of stain to use that will hold up well with the weather and also be able to be absorbed by the wood?

The hunting cabin we have on our property has a maroon color stain paint that we got from Home Depot, I think made by Behr.

Possibly something like a Thompson's Water Seal.
Depending on how wet the treated lumber was, I'd suggest letting it dry out for a while in the sun before applying it.
All the treated wood sold in the big box stores and local lumber yards is sold so fast it is wet when you buy it.

quote:This right here. I built a quite sizable deck and covered porch at our place last year and used the Behr Waterproofing Stain and Sealer on the pressure treated lumber. So far I’m pleased with the choice and would recommend it.

We’ve let it dry for about 6 weeks for this reason.
