Hellifi know. I came home from the camp at noon yesterday and was in bed by 9pm last night and took a sleeping pill. This is the first Saturday night in a month that no one got disturbing calls late and I wake up to this!!!

Not that it matters anymore since it seems you've made up your mind on the S&W but I ran 625 rounds through my Mossberg 715T today.

525 were the Remington Golden Bullet HP .22 LR 36-Grain

Didn't have good results with these. Only once was I able to cycle through the entire 25 round clip without having to manually cycle the bolt. Usually I'd only get through 2 or 3 before having to manually cycle.

The other 100 rounds were CCI Green Tag .22

Wasn't able to get a full 25 round clip through at all with these although I averaged probably 7-8 rounds without having to manually cycle the bolt.

Both rounds seemed to have performed better later on in my shooting session. This gun, although bought from a coworker, had only had about 100 rounds fired through it before I got it. I'm wondering if there's a "break in" period with it and it might need the be worked in to perform better?

Anyone have any other ammo recommendations that I should try? I see CCI Makes a Tactical round made specifically for AR style .22 Autos... I'm going to have to try to find some of these.

I would like to know if the rifle gets better or you find ammo that works well in it.

I bookmarked this so I can come back to it and report as I try different ammo in it. I should be going out again this weekend to do some more plinking.
