never had a yammie "blow up". just look on the back of most charter boats all you see is yamaha and trust me they run them the most. just sayin it will fix your problem.

If you haven't seen one pop you haven't been around enough. They are both good brands but all Two strokes eventually pop. To knock either brand is about as dumb as suggesting replacing a motor when it is slow to start

Sell motor, by Yamaha or Suzuki.

Ethanol issues?

Clean carb, but with bulb not feeling fight you probably have an issue between tank and motor. I'd start there first.
