What did you end up filling the holes on the bow with?

I wouldn't consider that a 'pirogue'. I definitely think it's one of the older pro-gator boats. Either way it looks great. If you could bend and attach some conduit with bimini hardware you will have a heck of a little duck/fishing boat. I would look at putting one of the go devil crawfish models, dixie mud motor, or copperhead mud motors on it. Even an older OMC or Mercury 6-10 hp with a jack plate would be the tits. How much does it weigh? Seems like I remember them being a little over 300 lbs? If so, there is no way you could paddle that thing and not be exhausted.

Web, DO NOT JUDGE, I filled them with the almighty JB weld water weld putty . I spent all week long pondering on how much work I did not want to do on filling 6 non important holes. I almost talked myself out of filling them at all. I got the JB weld, hit the holes from top and bottom, let cure, scraped, sanded a little and painted. If they don't hold, I'm not out anything.

And yes, having free reign of my shop at work is awesome. It is also where the boat will be permanently stored.

UPDATE - Finally got it in the water yesterday. The wind was absolutely horrible, I paddled about 10 yards backwards and got blown back to shore. I paddled backwards again and pulled the double blade out, seat is way too damn high with the angle of paddling I got drenched. I am thinking of putting a 7" seat base in to lower my body, or just scrapping this whole gig. I have a full AR lower if anyone wants to trade a yak

My dad is swinging through for a week from Afghanistan in April, so I think I can get the registration thing taken care of, if not.....I'm fricked.
