How do you pin it?

Sorry, I edited my post, I meant "stake it." I often mix up those terms for some reason. I have never done it, but here's a good video. LINK

Dude, that looks amazing, I am sorry for your loss!

How would one go about touching up the areas that got the finish knocked or scrapped off?
It's not to bad but the robber would like it to be flawless.

Well I was coming to post that PSA has M-16 BCG's for $179, but they're gone now.

Besides optics what else would you guys recommend?
What kind of light?

Either offset or flip down iron sights. For light, I'd say either a Surefire or an Elzetta. There are tons of options out there, take a look at Tactical Distributors especially the Costa's Corner. Chris Costa is the former President of Magpul, and currently runs one of, if not the best, tactical rifle schools.

I just bought the Surefire Fury from Bravo Co

The T1 red dot sight won't get in the way of the iron sights?

Cost?
Good strong light?

I may be willing to trade my slightly used BCG (~200 rounds) for a .22 conversion kit if anyone is interested.

Get a mount that allows bottom 1/3 cowitness
You can pair them with flip down sights, and you can see the flip down sights in the bottom of the red dot.
I have a Troy folding sight, but Magpul makes some good cheaper ones.
Yea, EAG and Pat Rogers pushed for the Surefire Fury, its 500 lumens, I mounted it last night and damn near blinded myself on accident

cowitness?
And what's the point of sights if I have a red dot?

500 lumens?! Holy shite. My pocket carry light is 200 and I can't use it within 10 feet indoors or it blinds me. I bet that's a bad sumbitch at night with minimal lighting in the house.

Cowitness means you can see your iron sights through your optic. The reason to use the folding sights w/ a red dot is that you never trust electronics when you need them. 99% of the time they work, but if you accidentally left it on and the battery is dead, but you need something now all you do is flip the irons up and rock and roll.

What hasbrowns said, thats why you get folding sights so they are out of the way of your optics, but if you need them, you can flip them up and you can use them without taking your red dot off

So would you recommend the fury over the ELZETTA ZFL-M60 LED FLASHLIGHT?
Posted on 2/27/13 at 12:17 pm to Drew Orleans
Check the costs, I am sure its a good light, but I know Surefire is legit, and the Fury was something EAG really pushed for and got that only Bravo Co offers if I am not mistaken
