Nuther Gun Safe Q

So Im looking at a gun safe, right now either a Red Head or Browning from BPS.
My big Q is concerning the weight and placement. I have bamboo, wood floors on slab which it will sit on. Should I place say 1x4 runners under the safe so the floor can "breathe" under it ?
Anybody have safes on wood floors ?
Just dunno about placing a chunk of 500 lbs of steel on such a small area of the wood floors ?
A lotta load on a small area of the wood floor.
Carpet or ceramic tile no biggie, I just don't want to frick up the wood floor.

I've never that about that. I may need to check that out too.

That safe is only going to be exerting 1 PSI or less across the surface of the floor depending on its footprint.

Yea if the safe is 2.5'x2' that's 100 pounds per square foot. I wouldn't worry about that. Not a problem
ETA:
Think about it like this if a person weights 200 lbs and stands with their feet next to each other they are pretty much exerting 200 pounds per square foot.
