Looks like Ascend stepped it up. I don't think it will obviously be as good as the Diablo or K12, but looks to be a good value for the money.

Those Diablos look pretty impressive

Marsh, rivers, lakes, ponds. There's so many options I feel more limited in a boat. I can get to places that a boat can't. For example a pond that has no launch but has nice bass. Not always an option to walk the bank and sometimes you don't want to so that anyway. I've been in plenty of marsh areas that were too shallow for most boats. Offshore is about the only place I can't/won't go, but that doesn't stop many people from doing it. It's the fastest growing aspect of the fishing world.

i have gone in 3 inches of water into pretty big redfish ponds that you wouldn't touch otherwise in a boat

You are able to fish slower in a yak an reach spots regular boats can't touch. I prefer to fish from a yak about 90% of the time. Yes, it has its limits but its what I like to do.

You can def be stealthy too in a
I could've used one last week in some areas in the marsh.

So, is the a new model or is it replacing the old 12ft sit on tops?

Many times I've casted in less than a foot of water without seeing anything and hooking up. Caught my biggest one that way in Pensacola.

Sweet looking yak but seems like it would be a lot more unstable with that flat deck.
Posted on 4/14/13 at 12:30 pm to GRIZZ
deck flatness =/= stability factor
width = stability factor

has to also with how flat the bottom of the kayak is, like you said not the top. and also a tunnel hull will be damn stable
