Yea st james boat club is on airline where it crosses blind river.
If you bring some crickets or worms in the evening and drown em under a cork, you might catch some bream or something. I've never fished around the landing, so that's about all the advice I've got.

It's worth a shot. Ya never know. I've never fished within a mile of that landing. There's some deer in a pen there, so if the kids don't catch anything they could at least go feed the deer.

For bass? Fish the canal along airline around cypress trees. If you can get a pirogue you can paddle around into some of the cuts off of there and might have some luck. The fishing there has sucked this year though.

It's as good a place to try as any I guess. I'm sure there are some bream and stump knockers around the piers in the evenings that will be willing to bite. The kids will like the deer if nothing else. I'm assuming the deer are still there; I haven't been there in a while.
Unfortunately, there aren't many good public places to bank fish around pville.

If you want to fish trying St. James Boatclub lots of people fished there. Your best bet to fish is to fish from a boat though.

There was a gravel road from i10 down to blind river too. You could bank fish there. Should have some cats at the bridge piles. Look for it next time you pass there. I can't remember if it is on the EB or WB side or both.

I bring lil spicy out there to fish pretty often. She is usually annoyed and hot within the hour, so we never stay long.
you can catch fish there, though
