Nothing wrong with a self defense class but the pepper spray or gun are more important. It would take a LOT of training for the average 18 yr old girl to be able to physically fight off a male attacker and if he’s armed, forget it.

If, with prep and assistance, the user just takes a tiny amount sprayed onto a fingertip, and then rubbed anywhere near the nose, that person will know what it does, and gain great confidence in it. Police take a full spray.

Your #1 concern is catching the next breath to stay alive ( in reality theres nothing preventing breathing) its just panic.
You will likely think too that " i should not have agreed to this ". But in the end, you will be more experienced with it .

Then, with an expired can, OR, the water training can, practice to learn the stream trajectory.

Bear spray will send perp to hospital or give you time to get there and take care of it.
